Viñedo Los Remedios is a boutique winery located just 15 minutes from City Market, situated in a beautiful Hacienda - “Rinconcillo de los Remedios”. Founded in 2017, it specializes in artisan wines made from grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Merlot, Syrah, and Moscatel, with an annual production of around 40,000 bottles.  The winery received accolades such as a Gold Medal for its Cabernet Franc 2020 at the 2023 Brussels World Contest. Situated in the Valle de Chamacuero next to the Laja River, the winery is part of a residential community with active vineyards and organic orchards, and it features historical sites like colonial chapels from the 16th century.

After our Los Remedios Winery stop we will visit the Wine Country Retreat Open House for a peek at a peaceful country-side lifestyle tucked into the rolling hills that have become San Miguel’s southern wine country. Discover a beckoning retreat of over 1.5 fertile acres with chic home set in treed gardens with separate studio and casita.  This home’s designer, a single woman, living in comfort and security for over a decade in the retreat she created, finds it time for other design-adventures…the home is now on the market. Music, snacks, visiting and enjoying the views from wonderful gardens are all part of the scene.
