Love Is All Around: From The Publisher

February is often associated with the ‘Hallmark Card’ time of declaring romantic love – all around and about Valentine’s Day.  While the volunteer writers of Atencion News looked to creating articles for this February edition they remained focused on the ‘love’ you’ll see written about in these pages – from news about what local charities are doing to address betterment of lives, to art and music as an expression of love shared with all throughout the city.

It’s about a way of living and giving in San Miguel de Allende that you will recognize and that calls to mind one of my favorite passages about the nature of love (and some of you will recognize it): Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs… it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. In that spirit, we hope you enjoy this edition and remember that our advertisers provide us the means to keep this paper free to our readers and are worthy of your support.
